







Hickory Hills Park is located seven miles north of Dysart on County Road V-37. The park consists of 665 wooded acres located on Casey's Paha which a unique glacial till and loess ridge was formed centuries ago in the middle of a prairie area. Casey's Lake and many trails are important features. There are 125 campsites available with beautiful picnic areas. For information call 319-342-3350.




The inviting one mile long C.R. Roberts Trail inside the Dysart City limits features a blacktop surface lined with trees, wildflowers, benches, and a picnic shelter. It connects to the partially completed Old Creamery Trail which connects with Vinton via Garrison.
The Heritage Arboretum was established in 2004 at 208 Clark Street. It covers approximately two acres and contains a diversity of over fifty memorial trees, several small gardens, a gazebo, and a bridge. For information and tours, call 319-476-7345.

The City Park features picnic areas, a large new playground area for children, new handicapped accessible rest rooms, two picnic shelters, basketball, tennis, and horseshoe courts, the Zimmer Ball Field, and a new Lions Club concession stand and storage building for our youth athletic equipment.
